Every year Earth Island Institute and their New Leaders Initiative host an inspiring night in San Francisco to honor six recipients of the Brower Youth Award. This premier award for young environmental activists is given annually to six individuals between the ages of 13 and 22 who are becoming leaders and overall bad asses for the environment. Sponsors for the event included VISA, Southwest Airlines, and Salesforce.
The design for the 2010 BYA invite came from a mix of old-school awards pageantry and bright, bold expressions of greenery. A 19th century penmanship book inspired the stately banner and radiant sun bursts. The main event and VIP reception had the highest attendance in BYA’s history.
